Welcome to Making Things Happen, Late Night Edition.  I’m only about 10 hours past when I normally post : ) Busy day in prep to leave for WPPI tomorrow!  This week was HUGE.  My BFF had a baby, we did a bazillion interviews for two new full time employees, had a team brand meeting with all 8 of us today to talk about everything under the sun including action steps for V4, had another full and fulfilling week of consults during which my email database decided to take an extended vacation, I finally booked a vacation, I’m attempting to prep for a last-minute shoot with Elizabeth Messina on Sunday (me = nervous!), getting geared up for The Total Package, a demo I’m shooting next week, MTH Vegas (which is sold out now!), the MTH Meetup and …  OK, list making stops now.  I need to pack.  A large part of how I got through this week was focusing on what fires me up.  When the goin’ gets tough, the tough… start having office dance parties!  No, really. 
What makes you feel alive?  Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. - Phil 4:8  When we put our focus on the positive things that make us come alive, it gives us energy. Having my “Fires Me Up” list printed and right in front of me all day at my desk is a life-saver some days.  It reminds me of why I do what I do and what makes me feel alive.  If you have time, print your list out.  Here’s mine.   Make your list of the top 10 things that fire you up.  Share your top 10 (or more) here.   … and (you know me well enough by now to know we never stop at just THINKING about something) do something about one item on your list.  Get it in your life this weekend, next week, during your work day!  When we do more of what we love, our path becomes crystal clear.  Decisions become easier and your momentum builds stronger.  You know that feeling you get when your favorite song comes on?  Oh yeah.  That’s what I’m talking about.  Key into that by defining what those things are that get you excited about life and DO more of them.  Just the act of making your list will get you fired up!
CONGRATULATIONS on a killer Two Week Challenge!  You are ALL big winners for pushing yourselves to greatness.  Whether you did one small thing or gutted your whole office, I’m so excited about all the change!  You motivated me to make this one of my best week’s ever, despite some gargantuan challenges.  I wish I could put this on a billboard in all of your front yards: I’m so grateful for you, your encouragement of each other, your honesty and fierce drive.  Your kind words and gratitude have helped me more than I can express.  I thank God for you every day, friends! 
Congrats to Challenge comment winners (chosen randomly by my new intern Emily who is pure awesomesauce), Erin Davenport [book winner] and Jenny Khachaturian [inspirational card, MTH love note and session with me winner]! Email me your mailing address and we’ll get your prizes to you.  I’m glad I didn’t have to pick, because I would have picked ALL of you!  You have the tools, now it’s up to YOU to make big things happen. 
STEP 1:  Download, write your three action items for the day, write tiny action steps under each, do them.  
STEP 2:  Next, clear more clutter in your environment and on your computer.  Work it!  Take no prisoners with that clutter! 
STEP 3: Prepare for Greatness.  Set yourself up for success tomorrow, next week and next year.
STEP 4: Take a break! Active rest. Plan breaks in your day, week and month to get renewed and recharged to make things happen.
STEP 5:  Leap!  Face your fear.
STEP 6:  Encourage others.  Spread the love and you’ll get it right back.
STEP 7:  Define and implement solid boundaries.
STEP 8:  Celebrate your success and give thanks!
STEP 9:  Define and DO what fires you up.
STEP 10:  Don’t stop.  This is just the beginning.
The Challenge is not a quick fix.  It’s a way of life.  I challenge you next week, while I’m out, to re-read every single Challenge post and do one tiny thing about each post.  Step it up.   Make it your goal.  I believe in you.  We all do or we wouldn’t take our time to write on this here Tumblr every day : )  Will you do that for me?  For you?  For your family?  For your life?  If you want change, choose it.  Break it down and act.   Remember: progress, not perfection.  Life is too short not to feel alive every day!  So, get crackin’.  Pump up the music and rock. it. out. - Lara
